TEMPO Interactive, Jakarta : Tribe leaders from Papua will meet Freeport Indonesia executives at the goldminer's office in Kuningan business hub, Jakarta on Monday.

Seven tribe leaders of Amungme will demand explanations on a deal between Freeport and the Indonesia government in 2000, which they see has harmed the indigenous tribe in Timika.

The tribe leaders will also talk about violation of the tribes custom by the goldminer. The group which represent the indigenous people in Timika, the main site of Freeport operation, have brought the matter to the company before.
