TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta Governor Joko “Jokowi” Widodo said he would immediately dismiss the chiefs of Communications and Informatics Sub-agencies in Central Jakarta and South Jakarta, who had been named as suspects by prosecutors in the graft-ridden procurement of CCTVs at the National Monument in the 2010 regional budget.
“If there are indicators of the crimes, we will sack them immediately,” Jokowi said at the Rawamangun Sports Center in East Jakarta on Thursday, October 24, 2013.
Jokowi said he would summon chief of Jakarta Regional Employment Agency I Made Karmayoga to discuss this issue as the two officials remain active to date. “We have to follow the procedure,” the former Solo mayor said.
The Central Jakarta Prosecutors’ Office has named Central Jakarta Communications and Informatics Sub-agency chief Ridha Bahar and his South Jakarta’s counterpart Yuswil Iswantra in a graft case.
Yuswil was named as a suspect in September 13, 2013, while Ridha on September 16, 2013. They were suspected of embezzling Rp1.7 billion in the CCTV project.
