TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Attorney General's office is investigating two department heads working under Jakarta Governor Joko Widodo. They are Putu Indiana, Head of the Building Supervision and Regulatory Agency and Gamal Sinurat, Head of Spatial Planning Agency.

"Both are being questioned as witnesses related to a case currently being handled by the Attorney General's office," AGO's head of information center Setia Untung Arimuladi said on Wednesday, October 30. Putu and Gamal will be questioned for the alleged bribe to South Jakarta's Spatial Planning Agency district head, Raden Suprapto.

"We are still tracking who provided the bribe money," he said.

It is touted that Suprapto had violated the permit license. Untung, however, was unwilling to give away the names of the buildings whose permits were issued by Suprapto.

Alleged of receiving bribes to issue construction permits, Suprapto is facing corruption charges that may put him behind bars for 20 years.

Suprapto is suspected of charging between Rp225 million to Rp700 million per permit, He is estimated to have Rp1.89 billion in his account from this practice.
