TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Jakarta Provincial Government plan to build two dams of 108-hectare and 42-hectare large in Ciawi. However, it faces land acquisition problem. The residents around the site demand an expensive compensation price of Rp15 million per meter square.
"The price is illogical. We want to buy the lands according to NJOP price," said the Jakarta Governor Joko Widodo (Jokowi) on Friday, adding that he has acquired the data regarding the price range for the area based on the taxable value of property (NJOP).
Regarding to matter, Jokowi will ask for help from Bogor Regent Rachmat Yasin to conduct an approach to his residents. "The land acquisition will be handled by Bogor Regent," Jokowi continued.
The physical construction of the dams is planned to kick start in 2015. Both the Jakarta Provincial Government and the Bogor Regency are targeting to free up the lands by the end of this year. The budget on the dams is reported to be as much as Rp1.9 trillion.
