TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - After declaring himself as a presidential candidate from the Indonesia Democratic Party of Struggle (PDI-P), It seems that the Jakarta Governor Joko Widodo (Jokowi) is still uncertain in taking his next step, whether to resign from the governor position or just take a momentarily leave. The former Solo Mayor will study the constitutional law in advance before deciding anything.
"I'm going to look at the study of constitutional law first. There are two alternatives, which are to be non-active or to resign," uttered Jokowi in his official home at Jl. Taman Surapati No. 7, Menteng, Central Jakarta, Saturday, as cited by Antara.
According to Jokowi, he will take the steps as recommended by his party PDI-P. The recommendation itself will come out after the legislative election on April 9, 2014. Until then, he is still doing his duties as the Jakarta Governor.
