TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - As we know, Jakarta Governor Joko Widodo (Jokowi) is very thick with his 'blusukan' activity (impromptu visit) to each area in Jakarta to hear complaints and input straight from the Jakarta residents. But lately, he has not done it again after declaring himself as the presidential candidate from the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP) on Friday last week. The last activity was conducted at Jakarta City Hall, Jl. Medan Merdeka Selatan on Monday, as reported by Antara news.
He also preferred to stay in the office now rather than going out, because he had works to be completed before the election day.
Regarding allegations that his action of blusukan named as a covert campaign, he did not give a meaningful confirmation. "It doesn't matter," Jokowi exclaimed.
