TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The elected president Joko Widodo denied the allegation that he has breaking Merah Putih Coalition into to pieces. The allegation, coming from the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) politician Fahry Hamzah, said that the coalition that supports Prabowo-Hatta is on the brink of destruction as both Megawati and Jokowi lobby it to withdraw support.
Jokowi denied that allegation, saying that he has not involved in a conversation with either members or leaders of the coalition. “I have not met anyone of them. I do not know about [my] team. But obviously, they have not,” he said.
The sign of diverting supports from the members of Merah Putih Coalition has popped in a massive scale, such as that from Democrat cadres. A number of cadres from the Functional Group (Golkar) Party also urged the National Council in order to replace Aburizal Bakrie and evaluate coalition support.
