TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – House of Representatives’ (DPR) budget agency chief Ahmadi Noor Supit said the 2015 draft state budget could provide spaces for Joko Widodo-Jusuf Kalla’s programs.
“If there is a plan to increase fuel prices at the end of the year, it can be proposed though their supporting factions,” he told Tempo on Tuesday.
Ahmadi said Jokowi-Kalla government also had enough room to insert their programs through the revised 2015 budget after the first half of 2015.
He added some spending cut options were also possible to curb subsidy, but with so little time, it was difficult to cut projects in every ministry. “Except if there are programs that certainly won’t be executed,” he said.
Previously, Jokowi-Kalla Transition Team chairwoman Roni Soemarno said she had met with Vice President Boediono dan discussed five big topics. "The point is how we obtain information from the government so that we can continue ongoing programs and execute programs that haven’t been carried out,” said Rini.
Transition Team deputy Andi Widjajanto said that among the five topics discussed were macroeconomic issues and state budget draft process. “Mr. Boediono advised us to immediately insert strategic programs before September 23, 2014,” said Andi. The date is the deadline target of the budget agency to finish the 2015 state budget draft talks.
