TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Several guests from abroad such as head of states or Prime Ministers attended the 2014 Presidential and Vice Presidential inauguration of Joko Widodo (Jokowi) and Jusuf Kalla in the Parliament building Senayan, Central Jakarta, on Monday, October 20.
U.S. Foreign Minister John Kerry, Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott, Singaporean Prime Minister Lee Hsein Loong, Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak and several other officials from other countries appear to attend the ceremony.
Other than foreign guests, several former Presidents and Vice Presidents also attend, such as Megawati Soekarnoputri, B.J. Habibie, Try Sutrisno and Hamzah Haz. Also seen is Sinta Nuryiah Wahid.
October 20 is a historical day for Indonesia. The President and Vice President elect 2014-2019, Joko Widodo and Jusuf Kalla takes their oath in front of the People’s Consultative Assembly leader.
The inauguration is scheduled to start 10am. Besides the inauguration, the people’s party will also be held by the society through Jokowi-JK’s supporter with its peak event held in the National Monument.
