TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – President Joko Widodo left for East Java on Thursday morning for a working visit.
Jokowi and his entourage departed from Halim Perdanakusuma Airbase in Jakarta on the presidential jet at around 8 a.m.
The president is slated to inspect a number of infrastructure facilities and attend the launch of the Smart Indonesia Cards (KIP), Healthy Indonesia Cards (KIS) and Prosperous Family Cards (KKS).
Last week, the president also attended the distribution of the three social security cards in Jatinegara, East Jakarta.
The president has called on the people to make the most of the cards to improve their welfare.
The president also said the funds for the three cards would be increased should the state have sufficient budget.
