TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Joko Widodo shortens his visit to the United States. He cancelled his plan to visit San Fransisco which was scheduled on October 27-29. It means that President Jokowi will shortly return to Indonesia, as per tomorrow, October 27.
Jokowi informed the press about the matter as he called Coordinating Minister of Politics, Law, and Security, Luhut Binsar Panjaitan.
"I will cancel my trip to San Fransisco as people are complaining. I will fly either to Palangkaraya or Palembang," said Jokowi.
Therefore Jokowi is cancelling his appointment with Ventures Capital, which consists of Sequoia Capital, Accel, Kliener, Perkins Caufield Briers, Tiger Global, Andreessen Horowitz, and Coatue Management, along with Indonesian startups Tokopedia, Go-jek, Traveloka, Kaskus, and Matahari Mall.
Jokowi also cancelled a meeting with Microsoft CEO, and visit to the Facebook Headquarter, Googleplex, and Marvell Technology Group (MTG) office.
