Investigation Team: Dul Matin Made all Bombs in Indonesia

TEMPO Interactive, Denpasar:Senior Commissioner Zainuri Lubis, spokesperson for the Bali bombing investigation team, has said that information conveyed by Abdul Jabar--a suspect of bombings in Jakarta--is very important to the police. Even more important is that because of Abdul Jabar, we now know that all bombs which have exploded in Indonesia, including those in Bali, were made by Dul Matin, Zainuri told reporters in Denpasar, Bali, on Monday (27/1). Abdul Jabar said Dul Matin made the three bombs that exploded in Jakarta, in Kanisius Church, Atrium Plaza in Senin, Central Jakarta, and at the residence of the Philippines ambassador. In addition, ten bombs ordered by Imam Samudra were also made by Dul Matin. Five bombs were then brought to Batam and the other five were exploded in Mataram, West Nusa Tenggara. It was also revealed that the three bombs exploded in Bali were also made by Dul Matin. Based on the information collected by the police, it is clear there was a relationship between Dul Matin and the Bali bombing suspects, especially those who played important roles, such as Imam Samudra, Ali Imron, Amrozi, and Mukhlas. Therefore, Zainuri said, the National Police Headquarters has sent troops to search for Dul Matin. The hunt is focused in various places in Java, Sumatra, and Kalimantan, and the National Police team is supported by local police. If Dul Matin is detained soon, the connection between the Bali bombing and other bombings will be more clearer, said Zainuri, adding that the police had not set a deadline in the hunt for Dul Matin. We hope it will be as soon as possible, he said. The police want to arrest Dul Matin soon to reveal his relationship with Dr. Azhari, a Malaysian citizen usually referred to as Dul Matins instructor in making a bomb.
