Jokowi Camp: 10,000 People will Attend Campaign in Pontianak

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Presidential hopeful Joko Widodo or Jokowi is scheduled to attend a public campaign in Pontianak, West Kalimantan, today, March 27. As many as 10,000 people are expected to attend the event held in Pontianak Qubu Resort.
“10,000 people will present [in the campaign],” said the Jokowi - Ma’ruf campaign team of West Kalimantan spokesman, Andrew Yuen, in a phone call with Tempo Tuesday, March 26, adding that Hanura Party chairman, Oesman Sapta Odang (OSO), will lead the campaign.
The secretary of Jokowi - Ma’ruf national campaign team, Hasto Kristyanto, explained most of the stages for Jokowi’s public campaign was designed to show the closeness of the incumbent candidate with Indonesians.

“We will set a stage by presenting the philosophy of Pak Jokowi who are close with the people,” said Hasto in Banten on Sunday, March 24.
The secretary general of PDIP said that his team would provide entertainment shows to generate political excitement. “If we recall the opening ceremony of 2018 Asian Games, campaign stages of Pak Jokowi will also present surprising elements as those in the event,” Hasto added.
Jokowi began his public campaign on Sunday, March 24, in Ciceri, Serang city, Banten province. Accompanying Jokowi in the first event were national campaign team officials, including religious figures, volunteers, leaders of political parties, ministers of working cabinet.
