Singapore Shows Interest to Cooperate in 3 Jokowi's Visions

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Foreign Affairs Minister Retno P. Marsudi said that the Singapore government interested to work with Indonesia relating to three visions of President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo in his second term in office.
“The President discussed visions delivered on July 14, and three out of the five visions can be collaborated [with Singapore] immediately,” said Retno in Bogor Presidential Palace, West Java, Wednesday, July 17.
This morning, July 17, the Indonesian President welcomed the visit of Singapore Foreign Affairs Minister Vivian Balakrishnan in Bogor Palace. The two, along with Ma’ruf Amin, talked about Indonesian visions in the second administration.
The three visions are related to infrastructure, investment, and human resources development. As for the development of human resources, Retno said that the President and her counterpart canvassed polytechnic vocational school.
“And it will be surely enhanced to expedite the time, such as through ToT (Training of Trainers),” she added.
The President asserted he would form national talent management as an effort to prepare Indonesian human resources that are ready to face diaspora and global competition. Jokowi also said he would open investment as wide as possible that he considered a key to generating employment.
