TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Assessment and Application of Technology Agency (BPPT) will hold the first exhibition of electric cars in the country dubbed Indonesia Electric Motor Show (IEMS) in September 2019. The event will have a theme of Electric Vehicle for Smart Transportation.
The agency head Hammam Riza said the public will see the latest technology related to electric vehicles in the exhibition. The show is also considered an anticipative measure of the trend that will enter Indonesia shortly.
“We believe electric-powered vehicles is one kind of disruptive technology. Of course, we have to anticipate it,” he said in Jakarta, Wednesday, July 17.
According to Riza, the trend will be the new market in the automotive industry in Indonesia. Hence, that must be in line with the effort of public dissemination to oversee all development.
The exhibition is planned to be held in two different locations; Balai Kartini, Jakarta on September 4-5 and BPPT office in Serpong, South Tangerang on September 7.
The first session agenda is a seminar, workshop, and product presentation, while the second part includes an expo of electric cars fast-charging station, component test, and test drive after cars parade from MPV to SUV model.
