Angkasa Pura II Plans Managing 3 Sumatra Airports This Month

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - State airport operator Angkasa Pura II or AP2 hopes to finalize the signing of a utilization cooperation (KSP) for three airports currently managed by the Transportation Ministry. AP II aims to sign the deal by the end of September 2019.
"At the moment, we are still waiting for the decision from the Finance Ministry's State Assets Directorate regarding the amount of permanent contributions and profit sharing that must be paid. Hopefully this month it can be completed," AP2 Sr. VP corporate secretary Deni Krisnowibowo said on Sunday, September 15.
This collaboration is a form of transfer from the government to the airport operators. The three airports are Fatmawati Soekarno Airport in Bengkulu, Radin Inten II Airport in Lampung, and Hanandjoeddin Airport in Belitung.
AP II will develop the three airports in accordance with their respective potentials and needs. The estimated cost of investment is Rp1.5 trillion; Rp500 billion allotted for Fatmawati Soekarno Airport, Rp560 billion for Radin Inten II Airport, and Rp500 billion for Hanandjoeddin Airport.
The investment value prepared for the three airports is for a concession period of 30 years. However, the estimated investment can go up.
