Tuban Earthquake Can Be Felt in Bali

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - A magnitude 5.6 earthquake shook northwest of Tuban, East Java, at 14:06 today, September 19. The tremor can be felt until Bali.
"Based on our coordination with BPBD (disaster mitigation agency) Bali, the quake, especially the second one at 14:31 can be felt in almost all of regency/cities in Bali," said BPBD Bali acting head I Made Rentin in Denpasar, on Thursday, September 19.
The tremor was felt in seven regencies/cities of the island, except in Jembrana and Karangasem.
Rentin said his side will provide an update later regarding the damage as the team is currently collecting the data.
Meteorology agency BMKG recorded two quakes in Tuban today; the first was at 14:06 Western Indonesia Time with 5.6 Richter scale and the second at 14:31 with magnitude 6.0.
Both of the quakes were not potential to a tsunami.
