Inauguration Day; 315 Jakarta Police Officers to Secure Traffic

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Jakarta Metro Jaya Police will deploy 315 officers to regulate traffic as to anticipate demonstrations ahead and during the presidential inauguration ceremony in Jakarta.
The police will also enact traffic engineering around the Indonesian Parliament complex.
Starting one week before the inauguration day of the president and vice president elect, a number of community organizations plan to hold demonstrations in several locations, including the Parliament building.
The Jakarta Police Traffic Directorate's head of law guidance and enforcement, Adj. Sr. Comr. M Nasir, said the police would divert the flow of vehicles on several main roads such as Gatot Subroto bound for Slipi, Gerbang Pemuda to Asia Africa, as well as Senayan and Pakubuwono, among others.
Gatot Subroto Road that leads to the DPR Building will be barricaded with MCBs and barbed wires.
