CPNS Recruitment; AGO Not Accepting LGBT Applicants

21 November 2019 17:50 WIB

TEMPO.CO, JakartaThe Attorney General's Office bars the LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender) community from applying for this year's civil servant (CPNS) recruitment, listing "not having sexual orientation disorder" as a requirement.

The AGO’s spokesperson, Mukri, said the office wants those who apply to be "normal, non-deviate" people.

"We do not want anyone with uncommon behaviors, so that during training and briefings no one will behave like, you know,” said Mukri at his office, Thursday, November 21.

The AGO’s announcement on the 2019 selection of state apparatus published on its website rekrutmen.kejaksaan.go.id stated that candidates must "not have sexual orientation disorders".

The Attorney General's Office is also not accepting anyone who is color blind, physically or mentally disabled, and "suffering from sexual orientation and gender disorders".

Male applicants, in particular, must have no tattoos and piercings.
