BPPT Calls for Open Government, Open Data Among ASEAN Members

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Head of the Assessment and Application of Technology Agency (BPPT) Hammam Riza said he hopes to see the Smart ASEAN Forum spark momentum for Asean country members to collectively participate in open government and open data via electronic-based governance system (SPBE).

During the forum, Hammam also launched the ‘public consultation’ on the BPPT regulatory draft for the SPBEs standard, application audit management, and the SPBE infrastructure. 

"BPPT is definitely ready to contribute to the utilization of the technology,” said Hammam in the International Conference on ICT for SMART Society (ICISS) 2019 - SMART ASEAN Forum in Bandung on Wednesday. 

He acknowledged the current rapid development of technology in the digital disruption age. Industry 4.0, the concept of Society 5.0, the internet of things, and Cloud and artificial intelligence (AI) technology.
