TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - U.S.-based software industry company Honeywell is set to support the growth of Indonesia's retail, e-commerce, and supply chain industries. The commitment was conveyed during a forum titled “Shaping The Future of E-Commerce Indonesia”, which was held on Thursday, November 21.
“As a leader in the digital transformation of IIoT (industrial internet of things), Honeywell is committed to contributing towards Indonesia’s development by providing the right solutions to its key challenges,” said Roy Kosasih, President of Honeywell Indonesia branch, during the forum.
According to Kosasih, his corporate is experienced in helping retail and supply chain companies around the world to achieve significant advances through its technologies.
Present at the forum were Lisa Widodo, Head of Operations and Product Management Blibli; Subakti Setiawan Managing Director Linc Group; and Ronny Ritongadi, CEO of 8commerce.
Kosasih mentioned that Indonesia’s e-commerce sales were forecasted to grow eightfold, with the formal sector reaching $40 billion and the social one up to $25 billion by 2022.
Therefore, Kosasih opined retailers and distributors were increasingly leveraging advanced technologies to meet growing consumer expectations around delivery options, shorter delivery timelines, and lower costs for shipping goods.
“At Honeywell, we help industry players by deploying the right technology with a range of smart solutions that facilitate digital warehouses and more connected supply chains,” Kosasih said.
