Erick Thohir Receives Threat Related to Jiwasraya, Asabri

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) Erick Thohir, is currently working to reorganize state-owned enterprises under his authority. Erick admitted that he often receives threats, especially when dealing with cases linked to PT Asuransi Jiwasraya (Persero) and PT Asabri (Persero).
"I think I am used to [the threats], especially with Jiwasraya and Asabri," Erick said on Friday, January 17, 2020.
Erick however, was reluctant to explain the details about the threats he had received.
Erick only stated that he would remain in power as SOE Minister until the end of his term. "There were many [threats] but lillahi ta'ala, I could only do the best," Erick said.
Erick has yet to made a comment concerning the reorganization of Asabri Board of Directors.
Asabri is currently linked to an alleged corruption that is said to have inflicted more than IDR 10 trillion of state losses.
