Minister Holds Meeting on Board of Jurangmangu-Serang Train

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Transportation Minister Budi Karya Sumadi led a meeting about the development of train infrastructure onboard of an inspection train heading to Serang, Banten. The minister departed from Jurangmangu Station in Bintaro, Saturday, January 18, at 11:15.
Budi Karya was accompanied by the ministry's director-general of train Zulkifli. They held the meeting on board of the train while observing the double-track train from Rangkasbitung to Merak.
The minister observed a number of train infrastructure projects in Banten Province, such as the double-track train of Rangkasbitung-Merak route and the reopening of Rangkasbitung-Labuan route.
"The Transportation Minister and his entourage are planned to conduct a working visit by using inspection train. He will check the Rangkasbitung-Merak double track and reopening of the Rangkasbitung-Labuan route,” said the Transportation Ministry's head of communication bureau and public information, Hengki Angkasawan, today, January 18.
During the work visit, Minister Budi stopped at three stations, namely Tigaraksa Station, Rangkasbitung Station, Serang Station. He also planned to visit and check the Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) project of PT. Agung Podomoro Group and discuss the transportation development to support tourism and industry sectors in Banten Province.
