Erick Thohir Views Yenny Wahid Capable as Garuda Commissioner

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - State-Owned Enterprises (SOE) Minister Erick Thohir viewed that Yenny Wahid is capable of her new position as one of the commissioners of state airliner Garuda Indonesia.

"Yenny Wahid is a very capable female figure," said Erick in his official statement in Jakarta, Wednesday, January 22, 2020. 

The minister stated that Yenny Wahid is an independent commissioner and trustworthy as a public representative.  

Politician Yenny Wahid was appointed as Independent Commissioner of Garuda Indonesia at the extraordinary general shareholders meeting (RUPSLB) on Wednesday, January 22.

Yenny Wahid is the daughter of the 4th President of Indonesia Abdurrahman Wahid (Gus Dur).

Yenny is the director of Wahid Institute and remains in the position. She also had served as a special staff of political communication during the administration of Indonesian 6th President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono.
