Ahok to Launch 'Panggil Saya BTP' Book Today

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Basuki Tjahaja Purnama (BTP), better known as Ahok, is set to launch his book entitled Panggil Saya BTP during Ngobrol Tempo talk show today, February 17, at Tempo headquarters.
The chief commissioner of Pertamina wrote his book which the title means ‘call me BTP’ while he was serving time at Mako Brimob Prison from May 2017 to January 2019. The book is said to be his contemplation and physiological and mental struggles during jail time.
The book is a kind of a diary recording the East Belitung-born man’s journey in the prison, displaying his feelings and activities from day to day.
Dominated by the color black and golden brown, the book cover features an image of him donning Javanese traditional attire of black beskap and brown blangkon.
Ahok will present as the main guest speaker at the book launching which is slated to kick off at 2 p.m. and end at 4 p.m., along with a professor of psychology at the University of Indonesia, Hamdi Muluk, and a political observer Gustika Fardani Jusuf, who is a grandson of Mohammad Hatta. Meanwhile, the event’s moderator will be acted by a Tempo reporter, Wayan Agus Purnomo.
The talk show with the former governor of Jakarta will be broadcast live on all Tempo social media accounts and through Tempo TV accessible via Genflix.
