TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - National Disaster Mitigation Agency (BNPB) asks the public to prepare strategies and mitigate floods that occurred today, Feb. 25. The Head of the BNPB Disaster Information and Communication Data Center, Agus Wibowo, also invited the residents to actively report the occurrence of floods.

"To facilitate the mapping and outreach of the field team through petabencana.id," Agus said, in a written statement, Tuesday, February 25, adding that the public can immediately monitor the flood through the site.

Meanwhile, residents who need evacuation assistance can contact the call centers at 112 for the Regency / City Regional Government, 115 for Basarnas, 119 for the Ministry of Health Gadar, 110 for Police, 113 for firefighters, and 021-51010-112 for BNPB.

In facing today's flood in Jakarta and surrounding areas, BNPB officers adopted the same strategies when it handled the New Year flood.

"BNPB ensures that its flood operation has been carried out at a number of spots in Jakarta Greater Area (Jabodetabek) to ease the burden on residents from the effects of the floods triggered by weather factors," Agus said.
