Six More Jakartans Recover from COVID-19

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta provincial administration recorded more patients recovered from COVID-19 caused by the novel coronavirus infection. The city’s COVID-19 Response Team Head II Catur Laswanto, therefore, confirmed that 75 patients had recovered.
As of April 8, the total positive cases amount to 1,552, while the death toll reaches 144 cases. As many as 976 patients are being treated in hospitals, and 357 others are practicing individual isolation at their respective homes.
“As many as 796 people are waiting for the laboratory results,” said Catur in his written statement.
Out of the figure, 130 patients are medical workers. One of them had passed away, and 21 had recovered. They come from 41 hospitals, one health facility, and one community health center (Puskesmas) in the capital.
Meanwhile, 2,598 people are under monitoring (ODP), with 2,054 of them have passed the monitoring and 544 are still being monitored. Additionally, as many as 2,254 patients are under surveillance (PDP), and 1,219 of them have been allowed to return home.
Jakarta administration is striving to conduct rapid tests in six regencies and employee health service centers (PKPP). As of April 7, the government has conducted 27,696 tests, resulting in 829 positive cases. “The positive percentage stands at 3 percent,” he added.
