TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - With South Tangerang caught in the middle of the Jakarta- Bogor route through Jalan Ir. Juanda in Ciputat, the regional government has decided to disinfect and be vigilant on borders with Jakarta, as the capital will be under Large Scale Social Restrictions (PSBB), starting from Friday, April 10, 2020.
"For those who pass South Tangerang, we will ask for their purpose; if it’s not necessary, it is better to stay at home. During PSBB, the police will also disband crowds, and those who refuse will be subject to sanctions according to the law," said Deputy Mayor of South Tangerang, Benjamin Davnie, on Thursday, April 9, 2020.
Currently, Benyamin continued, the South Tangerang Government continues to carry out its approach and socialization to the community about the implementation of PSBB in South Tangerang persuasively.
"Public transportation will also be limited to the number of passengers, for example from the capacity of 12 passengers reduced to six passengers, operational hours might also be limited in the future," he added.
According to Benyamin, the South Tangerang Government will send a PSBB application to the Ministry of Health today. Afterwards, Benyamin remarked, it will be up to the Ministry of Health to decide.
