Jakarta Imposes Social Restriction in 62 Covid-19 Red Zones

2 June 2020 20:46 WIB

TEMPO.CO, JakartaJakarta provincial administration stated it would restrict people’s movement in 62 community units or RW areas categorized as the red zone of Covid-19. Deputy Governor Ahmad Riza Patria said the areas will be secured and guarded by officers.

“Each RW will have portals and checkpoints,” said Riza during a Tempo’s virtual discussion Ngobrol Tempo on Monday evening, June 1.

According to the deputy governor, each area will be equipped with handwashing stations, disinfectants, thermal scanners, and isolation places. “We will provide various needs,” he added.
