Daily New Cases Still High as Jakarta's 3rd PSBB Ends Tomorrow

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta continues to see increasing numbers of new Covid-19 cases ahead of ending phase three of the large-scale social restriction or PSBB. According to corona.jakarta.go.id, the daily average of new cases is 100 people.
On May 27, there were 137 new cases. On May 28 there were 103, on May 29 there were 124 new cases.
On May 30 the number of new cases dropped to 98, but on May 31 the number rose to 121.
On June 1, 111 more people tested positive, and on June 2 the number of new cases was 76.
So far, Governor Anies Baswedan has not made an announcement whether Jakarta will enter another phase of PSBB period or start implementing the "new normal" policy.
On June 1, the city government planned to keep restrictions in red zones, where Covid-19 transmissions are high.
