TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - PT Sari Coffee Indonesia, as the franchise owner of Starbucks, Thursday announced that it is amidst an ongoing investigation against one of its employees inappropriately using a CCTV camera to zoom-in on a female customer’s chest.
PT Sari Coffee Indonesia spokesperson Andrea Siahaan in a written statement today said that the company “Is investigating the case and will produce a statement in an hour. Thank you.”
Previously, Starbucks’ Twitter account issued an apology in response to the video that already went viral in social media as many consider the act as a sexual violation, and had mentioned the company in the video.
The video that went viral shows an individual recording a CCTV operator - in what is believed to be a Starbucks branch - aiming the camera at a female customer and zooming in on the person’s upper chest.
The person recording the act and the CCTV operator can be heard joking about it and laughed while committing the disgraceful act.
