Police Investigate Motive behind Child Predator's 305 Tapes

10 July 2020 08:54 WIB

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Child predator Francois Abello Camille, or Franz (65), is currently being investigated by the Indonesian National Police (Polri) upon the French national’s motive of recording his sexual acts with 305 minors.

Metro Jaya Police Chief Inspector General Nana Sudjana said that investigators are looking into the possibility that Franz had recorded the videos to sell them as there were multiple victims in the suspect’s sexual deviance.

“This is what we are currently looking into, are the videos being sold? Where are the videos they made all this time?” said Nana on Thursday, July 9.

The police have only managed to identify 17 of the entire victims that are believed to be within the age of 10, 13, and 17. Franz would often pick them up from malls to the streets.

The child predator’s M.O. is to entice the young children to hotels by offering them to be photographed as models but once they arrive at the hotel, he would force the victims to undress and eventually coax them into having intercourse.

The Indonesian national police said that Franz had committed his devious acts in three different hotels from December 2019 up to June 2020. However, police believe he had done it far before what he claims to have been doing. Francois Abello Camille now faces 10 years to life imprisonment.
