Hadi Pranoto Challenges Back Following Police Report

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Controversy surrounding the Youtube interview musician Anji did with, the self-proclaimed inventor of a COVID-19 antibody, Hadi Pranoto, is yet to end as both men had been reported to the police by a group dubbed Cyber Indonesia. 

“We arrived [here at the metro jaya police headquarters] to file a police report related to the alleged crime of spreading hoax news against Anji’s youtube channel,” said Cyber Indonesia director Muannas Alaidid, who cited the possible violation against the Information and Electronic Transactions Law (UU ITE).

Two elements Alaidid said drove him to file the police report. The first is Hadi Pranoto’s claim for discovering the COVID-19 herbal cure while the second statement is related to swab tests that Hadi claims can cost less and be done affordably. 

Responding to the police report filed against him, Hadi Pranoto said to Tempo on Tuesday that he will file a police report to counter the initial police report. “We will certainly report back to the police as we also have an equal constitutional right in this country,” said Pranoto who also said he plans to demand compensation from Muannas up to USD10 million. 

Hadi Pranoto also claims that he will not run away from problems. “I will follow the flow. Thousands of lawyers have reached me expressing interest to be my legal assistance,” Pranoto claims.
