Densus 88 Antiterror Squad Nabs 15 Terror Suspects Linked to ISIS

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The police's Densus 88 antiterror squad on Friday announced the arrests of 15 suspected terrorists linked to the Jaringan Ansharut Daulah (JAD) network and the Mujahidin Indonesia Timur or East Indonesia Mujahidin.
The suspected terrorists were arrested in multiple areas across Jakarta and West Java on Wednesday, August 12.
“[The Densus 88] on August 12 arrested 15 suspects of terrorism,” said the Indonesian National Police spokesperson Brig. Gen. Awi Setiyono in a virtual press conference on Friday, August 15.
He explained the captured suspects played a variety of roles within the two terrorist groups such as logistics senders, financial funders, and facilitators for the departures of Indonesian nationals to Syria.
Awi said the suspects now faced charges that involved life imprisonment under Law No.1/2002 on the eradication of terrorism. The following are the identities of the suspects that have either funded, facilitated overseas travels, up to serving the now-defunct terror group ISIS:
