TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan asked his subordinates to read more studies related to the development of COVID-19 pandemic that is relevant to their expertise.
"In the modern era, the pandemic occurs in 100 years. We're right now, in the situation where we don't know what we don't know," Anies said in a meeting broadcasted on YouTube on Friday, August 14.
He portrayed this moment to the situation when someone was on a trip and passing the road that was not yet listed on the map.
According to Anies, many people do not want to reveal it in public. Almost everyone, he went on, says that we know what to do, while in fact, it is a complicated situation.
The governor, therefore, asked for his expert staff to read more on studies related to the pandemic. "Take time to read more references in your respective fields," Anies Baswedan remarked.
