Tempo Contributor Wins Leeway Transformation Award

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Program Coordinator for Refugees at the Women's Opportunities Resource Center (WORC) Indah Nuritasari won the Leeway Transformation Award (LTA) 2016 from the Leeway Foundation in the United States.

Indah won the award for the category of Literary Arts and Media Arts and US $ 15,000 in cash.

“This award has motivated me to be more active in giving place for them who have no voice,” said Indah, who is also a Tempo contributor in the United States.

The LTA award is given to women who have made social changes for five years or more. The award is given every year.

Indah received the award thanks to his role in voicing immigrants, especially in Philadelphia, the United States.
