TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta Legislative Council (DPRD) speaker Prasetio Edi Marsudi has bemoaned incoming governor Anies Baswedan’s transition team involvement in the preparation of revised regional budget (APBD-P).

“I don’t recognize any synchronization team,” Prasetio said yesterday after attending the consultative body meeting at the DPRD building.

Prasetio said that he accompanied Governor and Deputy Governor-elect in the previous period: Joko Widodo and Basuki Tjahaja Purnama alias Ahok. During the transition period, he said that he had adhered to the code of ethics in preparing the budget.

“What’s the hurry? Relax. If the programs are good, the DPRD will back them. Don’t be afraid of not being able to include the vision and missions. It can be done, I’m the most objective DPRD speaker,” Prasetio said.

Anies campaign promises may not be included in the regional government work plan (RKPD) if not approved by the DPRD, Prasetio said. “Yes or no, it depends on me. I’m the leader, the one to hit the gavel,” he added.

Anies synchronization team has come to the City Hall on several occasions. The team continues to hold talks with Jakarta administration to include Anies’ programs. Some programs have been synchronized while others will be included in the draft 2018 regional budget.
