TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Insp. Gen. Idham Azis has officially been named Jakarta police chief after taking the oath of office at the National Police Headquarters today.
The swearing-in ceremony was led by the National Police chief Tito Karnavian.
Idham was the former director of Police Profession and Security Division (Propam). He replaced Insp. Gen. M. Iriawan who has been transferred to a new position as Operations Assistant of the Police chief.

Aside from Insp. Gen. Idham Azis, the Police chief Tito has also sworn in Brig. Gen. Martuani Somarni as Propam director. Some 51 high- and middle-ranking officers have been transferred to new positions.
