TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - A spokesperson for President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo on legal affairs Dini Purwono said the government was drafting seven derivative regulations of Law No. 29/2019 concerning the Corruption Eradication Commission's Law, or KPK Law.
“Three of which are government regulations, while the rest four are presidential regulations,” Dini told Tempo via a short message on Tuesday, January 21.
Dini explained that drafts of the three government regulations will stipulate the appointment of KPK supervisory board chairman and members, the results of search and confiscation of graft cases, and the change of KPK employment status to a state apparatus or ASN.
Meanwhile, the four presidential rules drafts will note the supervision of tackling corruption, salary and benefit for KPK employees, financial rights and facilities for KPK supervisory board, as well as the working procedure of KPK leaders and staffers.
Dini went on to say that the government’s legal team was still reviewing the regulation drafts. "[The bills] have not been sent to President Jokowi because they are still being discussed," she said.
